I love this news! Ever since the end of "At World's End", I've been heavily curious to know if there would indeed be a fourth movie planned to
continue the franchise w/ Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. And now that we have confirmation, I can stop wondering and start waiting, haha!
Although I still wonder a few things, like if Pintel, Ragetti, Mr. Gibbs, and Mr. Cotton (w/ his parrot) will all be returning. Next to Jack, they
were all my favorite characters, and it just wouldn't feel like a fourth film without them. I read that Geoffrey Rush will be back as Barbossa, which
makes me anxious for this movie more than I already am. But I still need confirmation on the other four memorable characters.
One thing that I've got to say about Will and Elizabeth is that I'm glad they won't be in the fourth movie (Bloom and Knightley made it clear that
they won't be back). Their characters really were given the proper finale in "At World's End", and that brief epilogue at the end of the movie
clarified that. But, nonetheless, I'll still miss seeing them.
Which brings up my next thought: Will we be seeing any NEW characters come up in the fourth movie? If so, how will they differ or
relate to Will, Elizabeth, Norrington, Beckett, Bootstrap, Tia Dalma, and Davy Jones?
Seriously, I cannot wait for this film to come in 2011!

I don't mean to whine, but I'm really not feeling this. the third wasn't great (the first was great and the second was fine, but it's just gonna
keep going downhill) and a third sequel is most certainly not needed!

I know what you mean, Melissa; I too thought that the third film was pretty awful, but that's exactly why I'm looking forward to a fourth
film...because this way, the series may go out with a bang instead of a fizzle (even if said third film taught me not to hold my breath  )

I basically agree with what you said. I really loved the first Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, but the two after that weren't that great. I like how
the first one ended fine enough. To me one was definitely enough. 
I'll probably end up seeing it since I see most new Disney movies, but I didn't really like the second or third ones that much, so I am doubting
I'll like this one. They definitely are milking the Pirates thing like you said. Its getting ridiculous in my opinion, haha!

Haha.. just came across an article promoted on Yahoo about Pirates, it's about the female cast on strict guideline's for their audition.
Fake boobs
banned on Pirates' movie set.
Oh man, didn't know till now that Penelope Cruz is rumoured to take part in the movie as either daughter of Blackbeard, and a love interest. I'm not
too keen on seeing Penelope as a pirate..
Ian McShane will be playing the role of Blackbeard, according to IMDB.com's profile of this movie.

It's neat that they're bringing in Blackbeard, since he really is one of the most famous pirates ever, and the smoke effects will certainly look
awesome and creepy. Having such a famous person in such a prominent role could go either way for the movie. This will probably mean that Barbossa is
going to be like he was in AWE. That was good, and Geoffrey did a good job with it, but I prefer Barbossa evil.
What is interesting is that the man who killed Blackbeard was a lieutenant on the HMS Pearl. Be a shame if the writers don't play with that a little
bit.

So yay! Looks like the film is finally in the process of filming.

Wow.. I think making a 4th Pirates movie is going over the top, taking it too far. I think 3 is enough, we don`t need a ton of sequels..
Well anyway, I will definatly see it, as I loved the first movies, especially the first two... And I`m actually happy that neither Will nor Elizabeth
will be in this one. As long as Johnny Depp plays Jack, I`m good. lol
So eventhough I don`t think this was needed, I`m still excited about it, but not so much that I dont mind waiting 9 months for it to be released.
