Most Over-Merchandised and Under-Merchandised Character
Which Character Do You personally think is the most over-merchandised and under-merchandised character?
The most over-merchandised character I think are the *drumrolls*.......... PRINCESSES! I like them but let's face they are EVERYWHERE
most of the Disney Store the Princesses take over if it's not them it's HSM !!!!
The Most Under-Merchandised Characters is probably any of The Pachage Film character, I like package Films alot and it disappoints me to not see any
Ichabod annd Mr. Toad or The Three Cabellaros stuff around WDW or The Disney Store. There's a ton other under-merchandised characters there's just
waaaay too much to name!

I personally think it's the movies rather than the characters that are over/under-merchandised. Here's what I think:
over-merchandised: Snow White
Cinderella
Alice In Wonderland
Peter Pan (go away Tinkerbell!)
Sleeping Beauty
101 Dalmatians
Jungle Book
Aristocats (Marie is way over-merchandised)
Winnie The Pooh
Little Mermaid
Beauty & The Beast
Aladdin
Lion King
Lilo & Stitch
High School Musical
Pixar
under-merchandised: Pinocchio
Dumbo
Bambi
Lady & The Tramp
Sword In The Stone
Robin Hood
The Rescuers
Fox & The Hound
Black Cauldron
Great Mouse Detective
Oliver & Co
Pocahontas
Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Hercules
Mulan
Tarzan

I agree with pretty much everything that's been said already, and I'd like to add that I'm sick of Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise.
And I hate it when they focus so much on only one character from a film, as in the case of Tink or Marie.

Over merchandised:
ELLA! I love Ella dearly, and she is one of my favorite characters. But I am sick and tired of seeing her face splattered on every little piece of
pink that Disney can get its hands on.
Truth be told, I don't like what the Princess merchandise does to the girls period. Swirly dresses, pretty hair, sugary smiles, and empty heads.
Ugh! That is so unlike the girls' characters in the movie.
Under merchandised:
Well frankly, I think every other movie besides the Princesses, Tinker Bell, HSM, and Pirates are under merchandised. Even then, there are characters
in those fandoms who are woefully left in the dust of the other characters' fame.
I'm not a psychopath, Anderson; I'm a high functioning sociopath. Do your research.

Dude, you guys, I totally thought of this thread when I went to the Disney Store a couple of weeks ago. I actually found Robin Hood and Maid Marian
plushies! I don't remember the last time I saw anything Robin Hood-related at the Disney store, but there they were! They were actually very
cute, good-quality plushies too. I didn't buy them because I don't have any place to put them, but I was happy that such an under-merchandised movie
got some love.

Seriously? I wish I lived wherever you do, I can usually only find one or two good Alice items every once in a while. I see a lot of the Cheshire Cat,
but the other characters are rare.

Peter Pan characters (besides Tinkerbell) are under-merchantised.

Dudes, you guys saying Alice in Wonderland, WHERE DO YOU SHOP????
Even in Disneyland I was hard pressed to find anything AiW. About a year ago I found a plushie of The Cheshire Cat, thats the only merchandise I've
even SEEN of the movie in a long time! (except snowglobes, which are way beyond the average persons budget!)
Last time I was in the Disney Store I saw a Mary Poppins plushie, which made me really happy. I didn't like it, it was ugly and I'd of prefered a
doll of her, but it made me happy finally seeing something of that film.

I think all the "princesses" are overly merchandised.
"Meg, Esmeralda, and Jane" have no merchandise. You can never find them, and it's not like they weren't successful movies. I don't know why they
aren't included in the merchandise. I like those 3 more than almost all the other princesses.

High School Musical
All things pink which have to do with princesses, really!
Undermerchandised:
Atlantis
Mulan
HOND (Esmeralda would be a great doll!)
Pocahontas (However I have a Pocahontas doll and a John Smith doll, I never saw the Kocoum and Nakoma ones and wanted a house for them, or at least
some more accesoiries)
Hercules! (A big muscled Hercules would be great for the boys, one who can fight hades! Or a pegasus-baby plushie)

Pocahontas, Mulan. You'd think that since they are a part of the princess line, there would be a lot of stuff for them? NOPE. I would like to get
some Pocahontas and Mulan stuff but...*sigh*
And the Peter Pan characters (besides tink). I cannot express how much I want some Peter and Wendy stuff

I'm happy they made "Animal Friends" though, which is kind of rising up right now, since Lion King is part of it

Overmerchandised:
THE PRINCESSES!!!! (I will not rant, I will not rant, I will not rant…)
High School Musical
Hannah Montana
Pirates of the Caribbean (I love these movies, but there’s so much BAD merchandising out there it’s pathetic)
The Fairies (who ARE they?!)
All the Pooh characters
Stitch (love him, but he’s overmerchandised)
Undermerchandised
Hercules
The Villains
And, most of all, WHERE ON EARTH IS ALL THE HUNCHBACK?! It’s so depressing to walk into a store hoping to find just one little figurine of
Clopin or Frollo and be attacked by Cinderella and Aurora instead.
Personally, I think they should at least try marketing little things from every movie, even if it’s just a tiny figurine or something. I know
they make more money off of Princesses and stuff, but wouldn’t they make more money if they had stuff for fans of every Disney movie?

Overmerchandised -
The Princess thing would be more bearable if they had Mulan or Pocahontas, but it's just Belle and Cinderella, and sometimes Aurora and Snow White.
Winnie The Pooh, gah. Boring.
High School Musical; you can get _everything_ of it.
As for undermerchandised, pretty much everything else? They are the only things that I ever see around.

Overmerchandised -
The Princesses
The Fairies (as QueenOfTheGypsies said, who are they?!)
Tinkerbell
Winnie the Pooh
High School Musical
Hannah Montana
I work in a Disney Store and it's so depressing that the only stuff that really sells is HSM and Hanna Montana.
Undermerchandised -
Alice In Wonderland (I've been lucky enougn to find a Chesire Cat plush and an Alice plush, but that's it.)
POCAHONTAS!! (I don't think I've EVER seen ANY Pocahontas merchandise anywhere!!!
Pinocchio (I'm not a huge fan of the movie but it does need more merchandise! Though I was happy to find a Pinocchio plush the other day.)
Mulan
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (We had a HOND snowglobe ordered in the other day and I was so happy ... I'm not going to buy it as it's ridiculously
expensive but I was glad we finally had HOND merchandise in!)
