Without a doubt, "The Secret of NIMH" has scarred me for life. There's this scene (at least I think it's in this movie) where this digger machines
and stuff are seen from the main characters point of view, and to this day I've been scared of any sort of machine like that. Seriously, I'll see
new housing development and freak out over them. XD

Like a lot of people here, a few of Don Bluth's movies really left their mark on me. An American Tale really did it for me, as did The Secret of
N.I.M.H. (when they're moving her house and it's all atmospheric and stuff).
I also believe seeing The Mask (the Jim Carrey movie) sort of scared me when I was little. Now it's one of my favorite comedies.
Also, it wasn't a movie, but the Beauty and the Beast episode of a show called Stories from My Childhood really creeped me out. He was just a figure
lurking in the bushes, and that sort of freaked me out.
In more recent years, there have been a few films that really left an impression on me: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, King Kong (2005),
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Don't ask why; just something about their atmosphere/music.
'Tis true my form is something odd, but blaming me is blaming God.
Could I create myself anew, I would not fail in pleasing you.

If I could reach from pole to pole or grasp the ocean with a span,
I would be measured by the soul. The mind's the standard of the man.

The Fly. No, not the somewhat-new one. The old one. Yeah. And not the part with the fly getting eaten by the spider. Just the fact that the dude HAD A
FLY HEAD. Bugs scare the ever-living crap out of me, and that's just normal size. Seeing a huge FLY HEAD on a dude freaked me out. Not to mention I
was, like, 5 or something. And the part where she squishes his head in that machine was scary too.
The somewhat-new version remotely intrigues me, mostly because now I'm a mental masochist and have this strange tendency to purposely scare the crap
out of myself, like reading scary stories right before bed.

lets see when i was a little kid i was afraid of a Bunny (not sure what movie, I'm think Alice in Wonderland- the Live action version... or maybe it
was something else... i dunno) then when i was 11 or 10... i watched Harry Potter for the first time and The man with the Two faces scene at the end
scared me. and now with all the R rated movies scare the heck outta me... like the Saw series... it's getting to the point where it's ridiculously
stupid... i don't watch those movies and you can't make me i'm the kind
of teenager who stays Away from scary movies. (with the exception of Harry potter... love HP )

Proud HP, and wall-E lover and proud Twilight hater.

The last 2 movies I really remember watching that traumatized me are:
1) When I was about 9 or 10, I stayed the night at my uncle's house and we watched "The Perfect Storm". Something about it, I don't remember what
it was, scared me so bad I swore I'd never watch it again and I never have.
2) I'd actually considered watching the SAW movies until this experience. It was several halloweens ago and I was watching a special on Tv and they
had a scene from SAW 2 where they dump this girl totally naked into a pit of needles and syringes. I'm deathly scared of needles, so I had my hands
over my eyes and was watching it through my fingers, thinking, 'Make it go away!' Turned me off to ever watching the SAW movies. Ever. Still have no
desire to see them.

Twister and Armageddon.
For the early years of my life Tornadoes and Meteorites were my worst fears. My fear isn't that bad anymore but I still don't like either of those
things.

Same here. Mars Attacks freaked the crap out of me when I was a kid. Now I watch it and laugh at it. Such a weird movie.
Now, my story's kind of different from your guys' stories. A month before The Incredibles came out, I had a dream. It was practically the scene
where Mr. Incredible hacks into Syndrome's computer and gets shot with the sticky balls (...lol) and is devoured by them. It was weird, didn't scare
me much at the time. Come time to see the movie for the first time, I practically shat myself when I saw it on the big screen. Even when I watch it
nowadays, I get all nervous and stuff when that scene happens.

I was seriously freaked out by the anime movie, "Akira" (and this was only a few months ago XD ) to the point where I just had to turn it off . Since it's supposedly such a classic, I might give it another try,
but considering that I got to the halfway- point, and wasn't exactly blow away, I doubt that I'll agree with the hype

Jurassic Park, for me. You know the dinosaurs are not real by any stretch but that scene where the T-rex knocks over the jeep with the two children
inside and that loud roar. That scared the living soul out of me! It's like Jaws with a prehistoric twist! And the same goes for the Lost World:
Jurassic Park. My parents made me go see it with them when I was younger. Haven't seen it since. Still, I can't believe I was so traumatized by
nothing more then machinery. But you don't know that when you're just a kid!
